
I've already emailed Discord and they suggested turning off the overlay (like Theresa Barkskin suggested) and/or to do a clean reinstall of the app and audio driver. Set all games and programs to just use default audio output, then tell Windows that your headset is the default output, then you shouldn't have an issue like this when a program tries to switch to either default or the headset specifically.Įverything was already set to default as you suggested, I still had the issue.

I did switch Discord to specifically my headset, I'll have to check tomorrow to see if I need to do the same to FFXIV. I haven't checked FFXIV's audio device settings, normally having everything on "default" works fine. I run all audio through my headset, I don't have any other speakers.
